Sometimes I feel like the more news I have to share with the world, the less of an ability I have to actually share it. I’ve had ideas for blog posts, social media posts, reels and memes swirling around in my brain for months. And I’ve written nothing because somehow it feels like when the world is on fire, well, what’s the point?
And every time I finally got the itch to write about a good turn of events, I would inevitably get some bit of bad news that made writing so much more difficult all over again. The last eighteen months have not been easy.
Yes, good things are still happening in the world. But, like so many, I seem to have hit a not so fun part of life where I’ve lost people I love dearly, where circumstances have changed whether I want them to or not, and where life has just gotten…hard. For lack of a better word, it’s hard. (I once had a high school teacher who would inevitably point out, “Rocks are hard. Life is difficult.” Okay. Fine. It’s difficult.)
It’s supposed to be this way. Life ebbs and flows. It takes the difficult times to make you appreciate the amazing times, right? It takes the bad to help us comprehend just how good the good really is.
Still.
I don’t like it.
Maybe I’ll write more in future posts about the events that have been on my mind. Maybe I won’t. Guess we’ll see how it shakes out.

Hugs! I hear you.
